was transporting my 90gal saltwater aquarium yesterday coming over a slight hill I95 S (not that florida is considered hilly) cruise control was set around 78mph and the power just dropped off; had been cruising at this speed for about 1.5hrs. Engine was running good although it has about 195,000 miles on the OD. I figured the weight of all the supplies, tank, stand, canopy, 29gal sump tank, 150lbs live rock + sand, approx 800lbs worth of saltwater etc..etc.. came around +/- 1500lbs in the bed of the truck. far below this trucks towing capacity.

anyway attempted to accelerate to no avail and gradually slowed to a stop on the left shoulder. the oil pressure sensor was bouncing around erratically. shut the engine off for approx 10-15mins and restarted and made it maybe a mile or so with the transmission not wanting to change gears etc same thing coasted to a stop on the right shoulder. attempted to wait several minutes to try and get off the exit about 1/4 mile ahead... no such luck; had it towed home asap as i needed to setup my tanks and try and preserve my fish.

had it flatbed' to my house tow truck driver said even though the "PRND321" said it was in park it truly was not, when tried to shift into anything other than P the indicated selection was flashing. i have a scan tool, but its not with me at the moment, I'll get it later and post whatever codes i find.

I've read several transmission issues with this trans...
looks like its probably going to be at least a $1000-$2500 repair bill :/
