Hello I have a 1996 GMC 1500 2wd truck with the 4l60E transmission. the truck got's a 305 v8 in it. well I had pulled the transmission out to do a tranny swap then I got a new truck and it sit for 2 years. well I got around to putting the factory transmission back in the truck I hooked everything up to the transmission ect. Well I started the truck up and went to put the truck in D well I change gears but It won't go into gear. I tried Rev and nothing. if it's in N D 3 it want's to roll forward. I have the shift link hooked up. the thing that get's me is if the truck is in R it won't roll forward. I'm not understanding what's going on the transmission worked fine for I took it out. It's got fluid.

other thing is the truck won't go past 3, I can pick up 2 or 1st gear it's an auto.. any ideas what the problem maybe ?
