I pulled the PCV tube off the front of the carburetor. Its running a bit higher RPM and whistles, but its not going into spittering and sputtering nearly as much. maybe like 10% as much as it was. It will get me by untill I can put it in the shop. I cant afford nothing for almost a month.

Default problem solved

I replaced the EGR the PCV and the air idle controler module. On the side of the carborator... Now the truck is running fine.

Default 88 Silverado 4x4 trans

I just bought an 88 4x4 and it’s not kicking into overdrive. Is there a lockdown cable for this? If so, where is it located? I only see a throttle cable connected to the carburetor. It has been converted to carburetor “quadrajet” from fuel injection. All help appreciated

So my trans tag says its a 4l65e and not a 700r4 I have an 88 swb Chevy K1500 4x4 with a 350 v8. How can I know 100% what trans I have.
