Question 07 Suburban Screeching Brakes

My husband has replaced the brakes, rotors, etc...pretty much everything you can replace and my brakes still screech, ya like fingernails on a chalkboard...any ideas????

Ask your husband if he is sure all the brake slides freely move and are lubed. If the slides are siezed the pads cannot move freely and may continue to rub against the rotors causing a squealing and premature wear.

Additional details would be helpful.

Do the brakes only screech when coming to a stop, or constantly?

Does it matter if braking hard vs braking softly?

Does the problem go away after the brakes warm up?
