hi all. I have an 07 suburban 5.7 4WD. I have a service stabilitrak and service traction control as well as check engine light. It starts really hard like it sputters then clears out and runs. Shifts real hard and clunky from 1st to 2nd. Thoughts? Thanks

Actually no I haven't fixed it. Best info I found on the internet is that it is probably a wheel/tire sensor. It still runs ok and just the annoying ding of the dash info is the down side. Anyone else have any good info? Thanks,

If you have an 07 dont you have a 5.3 motor?

Mine was a bad throttle Body.

I have the same problem so I took it in to Autozone and they did a free diagnostic check. We got the code P2138 which is for the APP (Accelerator Pedal Position) sensor. You can Google the code and read a lot about what people have tried to do to fix it - I'm still struggling with it.
First I read that the error could be caused by a dirty/wet sensor. So I took it out, cleaned it (even though it didn't look dirty/wet) then plugged it back in. After driving 10 miles and restarting the engine, the light went off.
About a week later I had the same problem. So I pulled it out and plugged it in again and this time I drove it to the dealer. They replaced the APP sensor and accelerator pedal (or at least they say they did) and I didn't get any more problems for for about 2 or 3 weeks.
Last night it happened again. So naturally I pulled out the sensor with the engine off, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then turned it back on. The engine runs almost the same as "normal" engine, but the engine light as stayed on.
Now I'm thinking of replacing the battery, cleaning all wiring, and opening up the throttle body to see if it was really replaced.
