1989 Chevy Suburban R1500 5.7L Motor Mount Problems
Howdy,
I have a 1989 Chevy Suburban R1500 350/5.7L with a bad left motor mount. We pulled the mount today only to find that every replacement part it town did not fit. We looked at 2621 and a 2395 mounts that would not fit or match the original. The 2621 was too long (long dimension, holes were about 1/4" wide of what was needed). Then we asked dealers who said the truck was "too old" for them to look up exact parts. Luckily we were able to get the original out of there without damaging it so it could be replaced until the mystery was solved. Below are pictures of the original part with scale. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for this mount? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I expected to run into problems removing the mount, but I never in a million years would have thought that finding a replacement part would have been the show-stopper.

Update, Part Identified
Posting update in case someone encounters this same problem.
Using the photos, I drafted the "footprint" (showed size and hole locations) of the original mount to carry around to part stores. Last stop/chance was NAPA. At first they brought out the 2621 ... mismatch again. They started digging through their massive books and came out with the 2292 (99% sure, they have their own part numbers though) ... appears to be perfect match. This mount showed that is was for the 1987 Suburban V10 5.7L (4x4). I guess the day they were manufacturing my truck they needed to reuse some old mounts. Lucky me.
Hope this helps someone else.
