Default 2007 LTZ DVD player

I recently purchased a 2007 Suburban LTZ. The DVD player sounds as if it is trying to eject a disc from the player, even when the truck is off, even when the player is empty. I have been turning the radio/navigation system off when we turn off the ignition, but it still sounds like it is trying to eject something.

Any thoughts?

I also have that sound in my 08. I think it is the nav disc spinning. That has its own spot behind the nav screen.

topdawg29: Welcome to the forum.

mracing is correct. What you probably hear is the Nav disc spinning up. It starts as soon as you open the door. Cuts down on the time delay.

I think using the computer to maintain the charge has more to do w/ the plethora of dead batteries. Mine seems to either be charging at 15V-16V or discharging at 12V. From my limited battery knowledge, this method does not prolong the life of said battery.
