2004 Tahoe - Location of Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid?
#11
Thanks for the update. Hopefully it's just a lack of driving cycles to complete the EVAP tests and not an air leak into the EVAP system, through the purge valve, then into the intake.

It's been 2 months now. The truck passed emissions, the check engine light is off, and there are no codes being thrown. But on the reader, the EVAP still reads NOT READY. I have used the reader to clear the codes once or twice, and I disconnected the battery for 45 minutes one time for a different issue I'm working on. The EVAP still hasn't set, but it's not throwing a code either. Any ideas?

The EVAP readiness monitor function has requirements that has to be met like the ambient temperature, ECT and IAT, fuel level, fuel refill events, absence of certain DTCs, etc. I can't say I'd be worried about it as long as there aren't any EVAP DTCs being set.

P0446 vent valve
I have a 2003 Suburban with the engine light on. The code is P0446. I located the vent valve, which is the small rectangular part pictured below. I was able to unbolt the bracket and wiring harness, but am having difficulty with hose.
Any suggestions? Also will the new part (round) use the same bracket?
Thanks for the help.
