2007 Suburban Front End Noise
#13
I had an issue somewhat similar to yours on my 07. It turned out my issue was related to my front differential. I believe it was some sort of bearing. It was a faint but noticeable sound. Usually occurred at lower speeds like 5-25 mph.

Front end noise on left side.
I own a 2008 4WD half ton Suburban. I have experienced what may be the same noise you have explained. I would put my Suburban in gear and could hear and feel noise coming from the front left side. This past week, I replaced both of my CV axles and wheel hubs and brake rotors. The noise and clunking disappeared. My guess is that the CV axle on the driver side was contributing to the clunk and noise. In the process I had to remove the stabilizer bar pins to replace the hubs. One of my pins was worn on both the rubber bushings and the long bolt that goes through the lower control arm and stabilizer bar. It had a groove below the threaded area of the bolt. I also noticed while doing the work that the rubber bushings that the stabilizer bar goes through across the frame are worn. The worn bushings may cause some discomforting noise when turning your wheels. I hope my input may give you some area's to look at. By the way, the outer boot on my driver side CV axle had a small slit in it and a bit of grease was leaking. I had thought it was grease from the ball joint but it wasn't.

Do you/anyone know how to verify if the CV's are worn?

I just did one of my cv joints. The boot was torn and leaking grease. $80 for a dura last gold with lifetime warranty from autozone. Fit and finish looked quality. Checked out the tough one from advance auto and they looked cheap. Plus my buddy put one of those on his maxima. It gave out in less than a month in the snow. And it didn't fit too good. Returned it and got a dura last
