Dealing with The cracked dashboard issue also. We called GM and was told to drop it off at the dealership and they would get it fixed for the $200.00, however now they are giving me the run around GM service request number 71-1393222471. I will update as soon as I get an answer back.

If you do end up getting a new 1 put in, I would make sure to put some fiberglass strips on the bottom side near the cluster hump and by the passenger side airbag to stiffen it up. It could break again in same spot since GM is not doing anything to strengthen the dash.
Would hate for you to spend the $ / time on another faulty dash ...

Just got a call today and Christina told me the GM would not be paying for the dash and the Tahoe is out of warranty, Now that the Dealership has the old dash out, they tell me it will be about $1100.00 to install the new one. Not happy with GM. Have you driven a Ford later?

And Christina just called back again, and said that for 100% sure they are not helping with the cracked dashboards. I will not be buying anymore GM vehicles.
Case # 71-1393222471 and 71-1398649179. hopefully the dealer will cut me some slack on the new one.

2010 GMC Yukon Cracked Dash-Drivers Side
I have a cracked dash on my 2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid. It was purchased new from Starling GMC in St. Cloud Florida in August 2011. It currently has aprox 56k miles on it. The dash cracked last night above my drivers instrument panel. I have seen many complaints about this happening. My parents even have the same issue with their 2010 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. My Yukon is in a garage or shaded area every day and there was no object sitting on top of the area where it is cracked. I called my service adviser and he admitted it is a common problem but said it is considered trim and that I am out of luck. I have owned several Tahoe's and Yukon and never have had a cracked dash from before.
Can you offer assistance on what I need to do.

Hi Nathin,
Very sorry to hear that your dash cracked last night in your Yukon. We'd be glad to contact your dealership on your behalf. Please send us a PM for further assistance!

Good luck, GM refused to do anything, even know they sent me to the dealership and said they would pay everything except $200.00. When the dealer removed the old dash, GM change there mind and refused to pay anything at all. Worst of all GM called me back and offered my $3000.00 on a new car because they felt bad? I just purchased a new Chrysler, so good by GM. Oh and the new dash cost me $1100.00 out of pocket right before Christmas. Thanks GM.

Hello,
I too have a Chevy Tahoe with the EXACT SAME CRACKS and my dealership only offered to cover the cost of the dash if I paid labor, which would be over $400. I'm sorry, this Tahoe has been garage kept and should not have any cracks in the dash, unless it has something to due with the manufacturer using inadequate parts. And since I am one of thousands of people with a similar problem, and that GM is not stepping up and taking responsibility is excessive, abusive, and disappointing.
This is my 3rd Tahoe that I have purchased, and will be my last if this is the future way of GM customer service.
