Default 2009 Tahoe DRL bulbs

So, like many others I see on the highway, one of the DRL bulbs is out.

Unlike many others, I'm replacing mine

Just to verify, it's a "3157"

everyone else see the video where you remove the top 10mm bolts and part of the top of the front bumper and can get to it by tilting the headlamp vs. removing a fender?

That legit? I'll do both at once to minimize having to take crap apart. The headlights are still good after 100,000 miles so I'm not planning to replace those.

I also managed to improve the vented seat performance by taking a vacuum to the under seat air intake and trying to clean that up.

Tahoe did very well over the weekend... hauled the water toy just fine... but soon I'll need a bigger truck to haul a bigger water toy...

My 07's bulbs are still going good at 116,000 miles, I did replace license plate and the fog light bulbs for burnouts... I too did them in pairs... I'd like to replace my headlights with the Silverstars but reviews I have seen of them say they don't last long... I do like there whiter light
SST, are you still running the black rims dipped? they look good!

You might want to try a 4114 for the DRL lights. It is a longer lasting bulb. It might cost more but you get longer life out of it!

According to Osram Sylvania , the 3157 is correct for the 2007 and up. The 4114 is the the 2006 and down..

Default wheels

Yep, still plasti dip black. Hit the tires and wheels with spray on tire shine and they really pop!

I'll find some more pics later. It needs new tires, so I'll remove it while they add new tires, then respray them.

should be interesting to see the wheels after 3 years of them being black...

Badges are blacked out, as are the tail lights, so it has a cop car look...

Both DRL bulbs replaced. used a cordless impact to remove a dozen or so 10mm bolts, and just slanted each headlight forward enough and bent the plastic grill enough to replace. Not too hard, but still not as easy as it should be!
