Default 2015 Chevy Suburban MyLink reboot issue

The MyLink Radio in my 2015 Suburban randomly reboots... the screen goes blank, I loose bluetooth connectivity and the audio stream (USB with MP3's) that I am listening to gets interrupted and if I am navigating I have to for it to recycle (1 - 2 minutes) before I can resume navigation. This problem happens if I am driving or sitting still, regardless of whether or not I am using navigation (and happens even when I am NOT currently viewing the navigation screen). The audio does seem to stutter seconds before the radio display screen goes blank and the radio reboots.

This is an intermittent problem that I am having with my 2015 Chevrolet Suburban MyLink with Navigation. I've had the dealer keep my car all day for diagnosis, but they were unable to duplicate this issue, since it only happens about once every couple of hours.

I posted this problem on you tube:

Another owner of a 2015 Tahoe posted on my Youtube article commenting that he was having the same problem.

I opened up a CASE# with General Motors... I will post updates here and on the Youtube article as I get them.

GM can't do tech... I've preached this so often it hurts... but no one listened

Get the dealer to buy it back before it's too late!

I wish I had taken the time to get the proof you did. I applaud the efforts, keep us posted!

Hi kanico,

We’re sorry to hear of the difficulties that you have been experiencing with your MyLink radio. I understand that you have contacted your dealership in regard to your concern and that they were unable to duplicate your concern. We would like to look further into this and contact your dealership on your behalf to discuss this with them. Feel free to send us a private message with your full contact information, VIN, current mileage, and dealer name if our help is needed. We look forward to hearing from you!

Default Having the same issue

I have been having the same issue with my 2015 Suburban. I have been to multiple dealerships and they say they can not replicate. Although, It seems to happen at least two or three times along a 10 mile drive for me.

Hi Kristen: Thank you for your attention to this matter. I've inboxed you private details and am editing here for the benefit of the forum members:

Thank you so much for responding to this issue. So far there are 4 people that have taken the time to report that they are having this issue. I am sure there a lots more, but this is a beginning. I for one, would not be surprised if every vehicle of this configuration experiences the same issue, but most users feel it to be such a minor problem that they just live with it.

Here is all of the information that you have requested.

My Chevy dealer currently has my vehicle so the the journeyman mechanics can try to duplicate the issue as they drive home and back to the office in the evening and the flowing morning. They have me a loaner car, but I cannot use it because my business will not allow me to use a substitute car. So I a loosing out on my gross salary of $500 a day for every day the dealership has my car.

Here is all of the information that you have requested.

Andre / ****** Limousine Inc.

2015 Chevy Suburban LT
VIN: 1GNSKJKC1*
Purchased 8/6 from Wisconsin (150 miles from me)

Car is being serviced at the following dealership: Illinois

I opened up a case number with General Motors Customer Care Center: It is currently assigned to a district specialist that states that despite the fact that I have a recording of this issue, the dealer has to witness it before the can go any further. This is why am am now loosing $500 a day while the dealer "diagnosis my vehicle". (I wish this was a vehicle that is NOT used for my livelihood).

I also contacted a Tier2 supervisor at General Motors Infotainment Customer Support group and gave them a link to the video. They are scheduled to call me back this week.

Please feel free to call me with any questions.

Thank you, Kristen

Default GM Loaners

So, you bought a $60,000 SUV and got a Geo Metro as a loaner?

Because... that' happened to me at the dealer. I was NOT happy.

Know what happens when my friend's 2012 X5 needs serviced?

They drop off a 2014 X5.

I have to agree with that, the tech they have is mediocre at best and they have absolutely no plan to make it upgrade/update-able... Think of the tech in your vehicle as you would your cellular device, after its paid off throw it away cause there ain't nothing you can do with it...

I agree with your point here. I'm 6'5 and they tried that with me too.
If I wanted a cruze I would have bought that and saved 45k

Default Loaners

I bought my Tahoe to haul a 6,000 lb boat.

Explain to me how when it needs fixed (under warranty) you're allowed to give me a Lumina...

I never pushed the issue hard enough, but I don't think it's unreasonable to be provided the same type of vehicle. (I don't care if it's not a LTZ or brand new).

If I bought a Tahoe, I should be loaned.. a TAHOE...

But if GM wants $60-80,000 for a vehicle, it should 1. not break. 2. when it does, be supported by people who want to fix it, and accommodate you in the mean time. 3. they need to appreciate just what $65,000 is.

I need to haul me, the wife, and friends, gear, and tow. I bought a Tahoe. I didn't buy a Prius.
