2001 Suburban Front Brake Job. Need help
I'm about to attempt replacing the front brakes on my 01 suburban. Used to doing brake jobs on smaller cars, but are there any special tools that I need for this job? Can I use regular sockets or are there special sockets to use and what other tools would you suggest? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

19mm socket for the caliper to bracket and18mm for the caliper bracket to knckle. You will also need a torx bit for the rotor to hub but I'm not sure of the size, Be sure to pull the stainless hardware and remove the rust from the bracket and clean the stainless hardware also. If you don't the rust can cause the pads to be pinched and make them bind. Be sure the new pads are free in the bracket if they aren't take a little metal off of the ears to free them up.
This was the rears but the gist of it is the same.
