Catalytic Converter Question
I need to replace the Cat's in my 99 Suburban and since I'll have the whole exhaust apart i should probably put on some new headers. I had the whole burb gone over at my local shop and they gave me a big thumbs up on everything but the Cat's "which i knew about" and the air filter.
I have limited DIY experience with working on vehicles. I've done a cat back exhaust, oil changes, plugs, and such. Do you think Cat & Headers are difficult to do? is it worth it to put on new Headers?
Direct Fit Cat's for $336

Headers for $220

I wanted to get this stuff from AutoZone since they are running a special but AutoZone says the Direct Fit Cat does not fit my Suburban. Any thoughts on this? it's the same model and looks the same to me.

If by headers, you're referring to the manifolds, then that's usually the hard part. The bolts are usually both hard to get to and hard to break loose. Use lots of Kroil or other penetrant.
Probably should do the oxygen sensors while you're at it.
