cool tool Actron CP9180
Picked it up on Amazon.com ~ $ 137.00 the graphing one is ~$100 more
The real time monitors are very cool, you can see what the engine / sensors are doing real time. It will also capture all sensor values when a code is set, you can print them out via USB.
I had the Actron CP9125 that would read and clear codes it has worked well since 1997 but I figured it was time to upgrade since I get to be the families and extended familes designated " would you please look at my car because I'm really too cheap to properly maintain it and or get if fixed, PLEASE" auto mechanic. I have to admit I do dig troubleshooting and sometimes fixing things.
I know the Actron is in no way comparable to the GM scan tool but for the shade tree mechanic wanting to maintain and fix their vehicles its a pretty handy tool and cheap for what you can do with it, not to mention 2 trips to the dealer will pay for it, and no repeat trips to Auto Zone or Advance Auto for them to read the codes!
