Hello all,

We have a 2002 Suburban 1500 vehicle. Sometimes the drivers side window
will not go back up when the raise button is pushed. When it does this we
have to hit the button repeatedly and the window will finally go back up.
Most of the time the window operates as designed. Where do we start?
I suspect the switch itself. Is it replaceable? How do we replace the
switch? Thanks, in advance, for all your help!

Welcome to the forum.

First I'd pop the switch out and disconnect and check it w/ an ohmeter.

Thanks for the Welcome and I appreciate you all having me.

I have another question, does any one have any idea on how to
disassemble the door panel to get to the switch panel in the arm rest? I have
not done this before and would appreciate any help that you might be able to
give us. Do not want to tear the thing up past repairing.

Welcome to the forum. Look up the switch removal at How To Remove Door Panels On A 2002 Chevy Suburban - 2000 to 2007 Model Years.

On the switch where the gray 2x6 connector plugs into, make a note of terminals:

Terminal A, DK BLU wire, normally ground, gets positive voltage for driver window up
Terminal F, DK GRN wire, gets accessory voltage (hot with key in accessory or run)
Terminal M, BRN wire, normally ground, gets positive voltage for driver window down

Unplug the electrical connector and then check the resistance between terminal A and M with the switch at rest and between terminals A and F with the switch in the driver-window-up position. Ideally the resistance values should be zero.

While you have that door panel off a dab or squirt of lithium grease to the window tracks might be a good idea too.... also check that the door drains are open, remove any debris that may be in the door cavity, just a little preventative...
