Default Dual exhaust help or hurt?

I'm using my '94 Suburban K1500, 350, 3.73 for my tow vehicle pulling a 4500 lb travel trailer. It is in great shape, only 126,000 miles, well maintained according to Carfax. Runs great but seems a little low on power. It's a one owner, always garaged, only driven about 6,000 miles a year, perfect paint and interior.

I plan to look into installing dual exhaust. Is that (dual exhaust) possible since it's computer controlled (I think). Will it mess up the computer because that might affect how it runs? On my old vehicles over the years I used dual exhaust for good increase in power so hoping it would help on this Burb.

I will be doing a tune up as a matter of course.

Is there a computer chip or "flashover" I could get to help power? If so, where could I get it?

Typically its always good if done correctly. What exact advantages you will receive is unknown to me. Since much of your system is computer controlled it will do as much as it can to enhance your performance within its specific design parameters. As to "chips" yes there are a few out there but who has them is unknown to me.

Just remember that your exhaust is only as good as your intake and vice versa. They work in harmony.
The other biggest thing is to make sure all your tune-up needs are met as you are doing.
