Front tires rubbing on LTZ in 4WD
When I put my 2007 LTZ in 4 WD and make a turn, I can hear the front tires rubbing. It doesn't do this in 2WD. Anyone else have this problem?

Are you on snow or mud? If not, then you should never engage 4WD lock mode when not on snow or mud. That could cause a lot of damage to your front differential and transfer case. If you're on dry or wet pavement without snow or mud, what you're hearing is normal.

Bjaber is correct. What you are hearing is the tires skidding because the outside ones want to turn faster than the inside and can't. Therefore something has to give. It is tough on the drivetrain not to mention the tires.

This reminds me of a story in a dodge forum.
A 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi ownder ask this question one time.
Why did my tranny break?
I was driving around the neighborhood with a friend. I just had a new exhaust system installed and we wanted to hear what it sounded like. I put the truck in 4Lo and was driving around about 35MPH on dry pavement. What is wrong with my transmission? LMAO!

They probably will rub now that you've bent up your front end driving around in 4WD on dry pavement, now be careful when you do "get out to look", the last time I did I run myself smack over.
