Removal of 2007 Tahoe cross rails?

RE: Removal of 2007 Tahoe cross rails?
Remove the two fasteners (#30 Torx normally) at the rear of the luggage carrier (complete this on both sides) and slide the plastic end caps off to the rear.
Lift up on the black plastic release lever on each side of each cross-rail and slide them out of the tracks to the rear of the vehicle, I recommend using two people and a large towel or blanket to prevent scratching up the roof.
After the rails are out, re-attach the end caps by reinstalling the fasteners and tightening them to 80 in/lbs.
