I just bought a 2005 chevy suburban a bit ago,,,drove a few days in 4 auto,,,all good,,,,,drove a month in 2 high,,,,everything just fine,,,,,,,driving 60 and engine just reved,,,lost back wheel power,,,pulled over,shut down,,,started up and did good for 30 miles,,,,,,bam,,,,happenened again,,,no violent noises,,,no noises at all,,,,4 auto works fine,,,,chevy dealer says new transfer case,,,2 grand plus,,,,help peeole,,,bobby k,the trans am reaper,,,,,is it the clip on inside of cse/?//is it the electronic parts???/need my beautiful 2005 with 90 thousand driven by a little old school teacher everyday,,,,,this truck was maintained to the top,it was a preferred truck at the dealer they bought it from,and he was an engeneer,,,bought it from original owners,,,please,,,any ideas

Try a reputable transmission shop for a 2nd opinion. I am ignorant when it comes to 4wd but thought the transfer case only affected the front wheels and you say rear wheel power loss. What happens in 4 hi and 4 low? BTW my buddy just got a new case done for $800 so I would shop if you have a little time and that's the part you need.
