Humming noise from rear end, 2000 Tahoe
I have an annoying humming noise coming from the rear end of my tahoe. It sounds like a school bus constantling humming/howling. its a 2 wheel drive automatic. I recently changed the fluid in the rear differential which was almost a quart low but that didnt change anything. I figured the noise is coming from the differential because when I pop the shifter in neutral it immediately stops. But when im driving and its making the noise i can swerved to the right and it goes away, or if im on a road that has a right curve itll go away while im turning too. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen before
I would think wheel bearings because of it going away while i turn, but the fact that it goes away when i put it in neutral is weird
