Increase 2004 Suburban Gas Mileage

I have had it since it was new and it has 105,000 miles. I used to get 20-22 on highway and 15-16 around town.

Over the last year, I have noticed more like 18-19 on highway and 13-14 around town.

Are my mileages normal?

What can I do to increase gas mileage?

Quit using gas w/ ethanol in it if possible. E85 will cut your mpg by 25%-30%. Don't know how much E10 cuts it but probably 0.5-1.0 mpg.

I guess I should have mentioned I don't have the E85 option.

But you do have the E10 option. I just threw in E85 because it really hurts mpg.

Seems like so many stations use the E10 blend for winter... I noticed that on pumps near me that the regular has the "May contain 10%" but the mid and premium do not state that....sales gimmick for the semi informed?
