Hi kevinll63,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

The Off-Topic lounge is for subjects which don't pertain to vehicle repair and troubleshooting. It's OK, I moved it here to the Tahoe Forum.

We get a LOT of questions about the automatic 4WD sticking, as you'll see if you do a thread search here. I don't want to say GM rushed Auto4WD into production without working out all the kinks, but a common problem for occasional 4WD users with Auto4WD is the actuating rods in the solenoids which engage the drives tend to atrophy a slight bit with disuse, just enough to overcome the strength of the inductive force of the solenoid coils.

Thanks for your reply, I was wondering if this problem would be an internal/external solution or would it be wise to take it to a transmission shop?
