Default 9th gen. engine q's

Hey all,

I'm in the market for a 9th Gen Suburban (92-99). I'm looking at both gassers and diesels, and I have a question about the gas engines that you folks might have some advice on or know where to ask this question. I will be primarily towing a boat (4500lbs) and I'm wondering if I need to focus on the 7.4L engine or if the 350 small block will be enough power to tow that much weight?

Thanks in advance for you responses.

B

this isn't really an answer to your question; imo the best generation is 2000 to 2006. I'm not a fan of throttle body or port fuel injection.

the 5.3 for this gen will tow 4500 no problem or better yet....get a hemi...way better than any gm gasser.
