Default Odd front end suspension noise

Recently replaced the shocks in the front of my 2001 Suburban and hoped that the noise would go away. After replacing the shocks, the ride is improved but the noise remains.

The noise is difficult to describe. It happens only when going over a bump or dip. It sounds "mushy". It sounds like bad shocks, but I just put gas KYB shocks in the front.

Any idea what this noise could be? Is it normal?
