Over heating

Over heating
I have a 96 Tahoe with a 5.7 V8,
Started over heating last week,
I got a chance to remove the radiator and found that the
Left side of the radiator has cracks between the upper hose and the upper oil fitting,
The side caps look like they are made of plastic, []
Is their fix or should I just fork out the $$ for a new radiator

RE: Over heating
jsshark1,
That can be fixed by a radiator shop. They will replace the plastic tank. You should have them rod & bake it out at the same time. It should be cheaper than a new one ! But, make some calls to make sure you get a good price. I find there are a lot of different prices for the same job !?!
The last time I had it done it was about $100 and that was only for the radiator shop. I took it out and put it back in.
Good Luck, Dondobe
