Default Power folding mirror not working...

My passenger side mirror was folding fine the other day. Then it was bumped into manually folding it in about 1/4 of the way. It now won't fold in or out. It looks like it is trying, because I can see it move a tiny bit, but its like the gears are stuck or something.

Any way to fix this? Can I replace the internals?

CF Beginner....
in your manual....fyi

Resetting the Power Foldaway Mirrors
You will need to reset the power foldaway mirrors if the following occurs:
• They are accidentally manually folded/unfolded.
• The mirrors will not stay in the unfolded position.
• The mirrors shake and flutter at normal driving speeds.
To reset the power foldaway mirrors, fold and unfold then at least three times using the mirror controls. This will reset them to their normal detent position.

If that doesn't work, try folding all the way in by hand and then unfold w/ button.

Thanks, I tried both. Neither worked. I'm thinking of just pulling the mirror and having a look in there. Maybe the motor jumped a tooth on a gear or something and got stuck.

I never really fold them anyways, just annoys me that it worked and now it doesn't.

Hi tpc,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing some concerns with your mirrors. If you want any further assistance into the dealership, please don't hesitate to send a PM my way with your VIN, current mileage and the preferred dealership.
