Default Putting things back together after intake gasket replacement.

Pretty basic question here, but as a newbie to this job was wondering which gaskets get adhesive/rtv and which go on dry. Some like the EGR valve looked like it went on dry. Distributor looked like a paper gasket with adhesive although the new one supplied by Fel-pro looks like it could be silicon based. No info in instructions for these. Thanks up front for guidance.
