Default Radio Head Question: Flash or No Flash?

Okay… I am getting ready to schedule an appt w/ service to update the ECM to support the new tire size for the OE 20s that I added. I also will be swapping the OE single disk CD player for another OE CD player within a week… (project I am working on)

My question is: will the used OE single disc CD player I am installing need to be flashed or coded by the dealer to go with my VIN….? (I ask because of the theft deterrent modules in other OE radios)

I just wanna kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone if its needed... THanks -Kevin
