Default Rear Diff Leak/Limited Slip problem?

About 9 months ago, my rear diff blew a seal and started leaking. Took it in, they replaced the seal under a purchased extended warranty (6 yr/108K)and buttoned it back up.

Fast forward to yesterday, and my personal mechanic says its leaking again. I plan to get it replaced again tomorrow.

Here's the question: the mechanic said I might also have a limited slip problem, because with the rear of the truck on blocks and the tranny in neutral, when he spun the right rear wheel by hand, the drive shaft would start to move every second rotation or so. Shouldn't the wheel spin completely free of the drive shaft with the tranny in "N"? When I talked to the warranty claim rep, he said that might be normal because of spider gears/bearings/clutch something or other; I had NO idea what he was talking about.

My Hoe's an '02 Z71 with 86K on it.

Any advice/explanations/recommendations are appreciated.
