Default Rear pad wear vs. front pad wear

I have an '03 Tahoe. Why do the rear brake pads wear out before the front pads? Right now there is 75% more on the front pads than the rear pads when the all the rotors and pads were replaced within 9 months of each other 2 years ago. Any suggestions???

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe the parking brake is not adjusted correctly and is dragging the rear brakes or maybe the calipers are sticking.
