Default Replacing ignition and locking assembly

The ignition key got stuck in the locked position and no matter what we did, it would not disengage the steer wheel nor could it be turned. AAA came out and tried to pull out the lock from the cylinder but they had no luck. I was stuck in a parking lot and resorted to removed piece by piece the ignition and locking assembly. It was not pretty by the time I was done. Currently I am starting the car with a screw driver. I would like to go ahead and replace the ignition and locking assembly, but I am not clear as to how to go about it. I am looking for information on what the part number(s) are/called, a diagram if possible and any instructions as to how to remove and replace the assembly. Thanks for any help. I forgot to say it is a 1996 1500 4dr 4wd 5.7l Suburban
