I have a Service Airbag message on the dash of my 2007 Tahoe. I checked under the driver seat and everything seems to be OK. Under the passenger seat I found a black box hanging by the wires. Its about 3 inches square. On the label it says T900, GM15846813, and Delphi 28043974. It has tabs that are broken off that attached it to the seat bottom. Could this be my problem? The passenger on/off message for the airbag above the mirror works normally.

A lot of the air bag stuff (not all) has yellow wiring or yellow tape associated with it... is the wiring yellow?
I don't know what the box is off the top of my head, Maybe its an accelerometer?
May have to have the air bag code read to find out exactly what the error is for... I can take a look in my manual this evening and see if I can come up with anything..

I had that issue last year. it was a Bad sensor mounted behind the front bumper

pretty sure the only airbag related items under the seat are the seat position sensor .Off to the side is the pretensioner. the sdm in usually under the center console.
the heated seats or memory seat modules are usually under the seat.


get the airbag code read and post them here.


if it turns out to be an airbag; have a professional repair it and dispose of the bag airbag module
