Cool Temp for outside air temp

99 GMC Yukon. The reading for the outside temp stays at 0 C and will not read in F at all, the compass works and gives direction acuratly, Wonder if the sensor for the temp is defective or if there might be some other problem. Does any one know where the sensor is located and if the could be the problem, or is it a fuse issue
thanks

I can't say for sure on the 99 but I would venture that the temp sensor is located in the front grill area. You might try disconnecting the battery to see if it resets...
