Default Error P0121

On Saturday my 2010 Tahoe had the engine light come on. The error code was P0121, throttle system control not reading quite right is what on-star told me. Truck didn't seem to drive differently. I turned my tahoe on after being shut off at home for 4 hours and the light was gone. Diagnostics ran and came up clean. Has this happened to anyone? Should I just replace my TPS? I found info on a recall of this product but my vin doesn't show being covered. Is this a hard DIY fix?

Had this happen on my 2007 Suburban LTZ. Began back in November of 2013. Would come and go intermittently over the course of a year or so until it finally stayed on for good. Truck never ran differently, but wife hated not being able to use remote start because the engine light was on. Finally fixed it the other day. Check my posts here: https://chevroletforum.com/forum/tah...e-39344/page4/ Should cover everything. Cheers!

I've been having this same problem with my 2007 Chevy Malibu since May 2014. I don't understand if this is a common problem why are they not doing a recall on ALL VIN#s? I just took my car in yesterday to get a quote & it's crazy.

Default throttle body sensor trouble code p2135

I have a 2010 gmc sierra sle with 33k miles and current date today is 02/26/2015. Bumper to bumper expired and possibly the power train warranty also. Wife drove my pickup today and called saying traction control light, stabilitrak, reduce engine speed and check engine light all came on as she's leaving work going 5 mph. Today was extremely cold around 22° and 5° with wind chill. All lights came on and wouldn't let her go passed 20mph. I came home from work and hooked scan tool up reading code p2135 which means throttle body sensor A/b voltage correlation. Only check engine light was on but truck ran fine. Drove normally came home then I cleared the code and restarted it drove it for about 15 minutes alternating speeds never came back on. Of course the question is does warranty cover being the 5 year power train is about expired or is even though it only has 33k miles. General Motors posted a "Special Coverage Adjustment" for the throttle position sensor for a 10yr/120,000 miles from original service date. Also the throttle body itself is actually covered under the 7 year/70,000 California emission control system warranty. Hope this helps someone

Welcome to the forum...

If there is any service bulletins related to your particular issue, the service department will be able to make that determination once the cause is identified.
The stabilitrac error can cover a myriad of issues from something simple as a loose wheel speed sensor connector to a failed and collapsed lifter...
There is no blanket bulletin to the best of my knowledge, you will need to take it in and have the problem diagnosed and go from there..

Default Local GMC claims they don't do throttle rebuilds replacements only

I called my local GMC and they said they only do full throttle replacements, not replacement of just the sensor kit. Is there some confirmation from GMC not to replace the whole throttle only the kit as I don't think my dealer would take suggestions from a forum without some sort of GMC validity. It costs $525 for full replacement! Thanks

QUOTE=MDTAHOE;241455]They were lying to you p2135 and reduced engine light are the exact symptoms for the code. Here is a copy of the service bulletin however if you have over 100,000 or past 5 years I do not think your covered.
