2004 Tahoe Z71 ac only blows through defrost
I have a 2004 Tahoe that I recently changed the battery in and now the ac only blows through the defrost, cold but no air coming through other vents. The rear vents blow fine but stay hot no motter what the temp is set at (for the rear climate control). The climate control system is the digital. I have read in other posts that there is a problem with the ac callibration when the battery is disconnected and was wondering if anyone had tips on how to fix these problems. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Same thing is happening to mine, but WOW $163 !
Serv Adviser at Dealer told me it would cost $83 for actuator,
plus labor. He also said that there were three other actuators
under the dash.... uoo yuck !

I have an 04 tahoe that had the same thing happen..But the climate control is dual. Battery had to be replaced and now air only blows through defrost. Tried resetting it but it goes back to defrost in just a bit. Tried turning key on with everything off for 5 minutes and then starting it but it did not help. These things seem to have alot of problems. Any other ideas???

marci,
I eventually just had the Actuator replaced, and now it's working fine.
But, before I did, it was able to be manually pushed, and it swung over to the proper position. In my case, it was an hesitant drive motor.
IF, you'd like to try that, the Actuator looks like this...
However, there are more than one of these things that operate the system flow, and I don't know where under your dash, to tell you where the proper one is located. You might take a look, and see if you can find the right one.
