DVD Disk Load / Eject Error
My 3 year old shoved a DVD into the player of our 06 Tahoe while the DVD player was off (per my wife). We were able to eject the DVD he shoved in but now we are not able to load any other DVD's. When we try to load one it goes in and then spits back out after 3-5 seconds. This cycles two or three times and then an error comes up on the screen "DVD Disk Load / Eject Error." Is there anything I can do to reset the DVD player without having to take it in for service?
Thanks,
Brad
Thanks,

Chuck It,
You can try pulling the fuse. If that doesn't work, I'm sorry, but you should take it in for service. It sounds like the player may have been damaged.
For your convenience, the fuse information is available in the manual on pages 5-114 & 5-117, fuse = INFO. A digital copy of the manual is available at: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/ow...olet-Tahoe.pdf
I hope this information is helpful. Please keep us posted.

I had the same thing happen to my wife's '04 and the DVD drive had to be replaced.
Luckily it was covered under her extended CarMax warranty and only cost the $50 deductible. Otherwise would have been $527.
So unless you're under warranty, might be cheaper to replace w/ an aftermarket unit.

Hey Louis,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but no change. Looks like we will have to take it in for service. However, if the cost is around $500 like 73Shark stated in his post then the kids will have to start singing songs on trips.
Thanks again.
