01 Tracker LT Rear Axial Bearing Retainer & ABS Reluctor Ring
I needed to change the Rear wheel(axial) Bearing, in which the Bearing
Retainer(Collar) / & ABS Reluctor Ring had to come off first - Normal.
I have new Retainer & ABS Reluctor Ring from Dealer.
Question: Is the Reluctor Ring supposed to be 0.0030"ID larger than the
retainer(collar) that it's supposed to be press fit onto.
I got the parts from the Chevy Dealer by Ref. the VIN#. The parts manager & I talked to the lead Mechanic who looked in the Dealer service manual and found no answers as to the size difference.
The only this that thing that I can see as a possibility is that the Axial Shaft is 0.0025"OD larger than the Retainer ID that press fits onto it, and then the reluctor ring would ? then be tight on the retainer once it's all assembled?
Has anyone else changed a rear axial Bearing with rear ABS and gone though this?
