Default 2000 Tracker 1.6L Crankshaft Sensor

Anyone know where the sensor is located? My documentation shows it is located by the vibration dampener. Is this correct?

Default Inside the transmission

My own recently failed inspection due to an OBD code (crankshaft position sensor), and unfortunately it is located inside the transmission assembly, as many different mechanics have informed me. Though the part itself is only a few bucks, the disassembly and reassembly of everything else brings the cost of repair up to $800 (same price from 4 different places). Luckily mine will still start w/o any problems, so if it doesn't need replacing I would just put it off for now. Hope this helps.
