Default 4 cyl vs 6 cyl

I have a 4 cyl tracker, love it. I'd like to pull a small pop up camper and am thinking of going to a 6 cyl. What are the pluses and minuses of the 6? Also should I look for a standard or auto? Thanks

HI, My Dad had a 2002 ZR2 with the six cylinder engine, and it does have a bit more power, but the thing got crappy gas mileage - about 20 mpg was the best he ever got. Personally I would stick with the four and get a REAL SMALL lightweight camper. Remember, you won't be towing the camper all the time. As for the tranny - I don't have any experience with the manual version, but in most vehicles, the manual drive system is more durable. But then again, how often will you actually be towing the camper? Is it worth the inconvenience of having to manually shift all the time?
