Adventures in engine swapping... maybe...
New here, so ... Hi!
I have an 01 with the 2.0 four cylinder, four wheel drive and 237,000+ miles.
I have a buddy who has an 02 S10 Blazer with a 4.3 v6, 2 wheel drive with a replacement engine with about 20,000 on it.
The S10 was recently totaled. He is going to junk the truck but wants to know if I want the engine out of it. I need to do something about my engine - it is desperate for a rebuild.
I have modified cars before (put a Jeep Cherokee transfer case, drive lines and yolks in an AMC S/4 Eagle) but nothing computer controlled.
I would want to keep the Tracker 4 wheel drive. Is it possible to put the 4.3 in a Tracker? How complex would it be?
