Keyless entry with no signal
I have a 2003 Tracker LXT. When you lock and unlock with the remote, there is no horn or lights flashing. Is this normal? Most cars indicate when you lock or unlock.

I've had over 134 views and no one can tell me if their lights flash or horn honks when they lock with a remote? Really????

No lights or horn on my Tracker either. My remote only works the front two doors. Rear doors and back door don't do anything. I may have an elelectrical or wiring troubles, but my Tracker doesn't have electric windows, mirrors, or a tilt steering wheel. Perhaps mine is supposed to only work the front doors.

I bought my 2002 ZR-2 a year ago. The dealer handed me one key and it was not the original. All the locks were partially seized and the tailgate would not even open. I have worked past all that and love this vehicle. What I found out is --there is a remote lock transmitter on board (It is a black box with the 2 relays mounted alongside it) to the right of the brake pedal and high up. I bought a remote keyfob on Ebay and programmed it. Works great. NO, I do not get any horn or light show indicating a lock or unlock situation--to answer your question.
I just spent 2 days Wednesday and Tuesday installing a remote start with a lock function, so this topic is right on for me. Now I have 3 keyfobs...
