Default pulling a Tracker

The owners manual for a 2003 chevy Tracker 4dr, 4wd, base model, 4 cyl engine states that you should not pull the tracker more then 55mph when pulling with all four wheels on the ground. Why is there a 55mph limit? It this a cya statement or is there a mechanical reason

I pull mine behind my motor home and have never had an issue. Mine has probably been pulled over 100,000 miles. Just make sure you keep an eye on your oil condition in front, rear end and transfer case.
