Default vibration while in 4wd

Just bought a 2004 tracker with 105k miles. There's a strong vibration while in 4. Vibrates the entire vehicle. 2wd is smooth as can be. I dont have any experience working on 4wd vehicles. Any advice on where to begin looking for the problem?

Hello,

Suggestion--go over to the Suzuki Forum. 1999-2004 Grand Vitara. There are sticky notes there with a section on 4 WD. Lots of info. If anything, those folks may have an answer.

Tires must be exactly the same size. I had this problem. Even a different profile will cause this to happen.
