Default Location of connector to Trailer Brake Controller on my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer

Hello. I'm pretty inept when it comes to repairs. My 2007 trailblazer has 7-pin connector. I want to install Trailer Brake Controller. I opened the panel beneath the steering wheel. Can you please let me know if the connector in the pic is it?

Thanks.

Did you find a solution, or is the brake control built into the Trailer Package on these?
My dad has a 2007 Trailblazer with same 7 pin connector at rear bumper, pulls a 16 ft Scamp w/electric brakes, and has never had a separate controller. I guess the brakes work? Never thought about it, but I now have his rig, and wondered the same as you, do I need to install a separate controller?
Somebody....anybody?
