Default Amp & Subs....Hidden

Well since people starting posting their installs...here's one I did on our '02 TBlazer a few years back. I never did finish it completely, but it is done to a point that it doens't bother my wife or I.

I had 1 stipulation from the wife when doing it though....I couldn't take up any floor space.

Out of sheer laziness, I'm not going to take pics of the door speakers, or the wiring(its a mess anyways!) But just the rear of the vehicle where I hid the Amps, Sub, and Capacitor.

4 channel and mono block amp in the small cubby

Capacitor.....only a half farad, but it was given to me at the time

The Sub....Still not 100% finished at this time....I didn't know how to clean up the look of it, so I added a speaker grill to it and put it off. The box is built into the fender well behind that panel. The sub I used was a Pioner Shallow-Mount 10".

Everything hidden when closed up. Sounds pretty good for just 1 sub.....

That is a smooth install. Looks almost factory. You don't have any problems at all with the amps getting to hot in the floor?

I originally though that.....so I was going to cut the carpet out, install fans...etc etc etc....but I tried it for a week at near full volume to see if the amps cut out, and they worked flawlessly.....even on a hot summer day, I can turn it up full blast and not have them cut out.
