Power train redo question, 4.2 with 4l60 e
Hi to you all! I bought a 2005 TB LS 2wd, 4.2l auto. Engine runs but has rod knock and who knows what else, 202k miles. I bought a lo mile engine swap in, but here's my question: as I want to rebuild the tranny at the same time as eng swap, can I pull the eng and trans as a unit, then split them later once out? Seems like a better plan than pulling eng, jacking around the trans etc. Please, any advice on this? Thank you
