reduced power light
my daughters 06 trailblazer with a 4.2 just got a reduced power light. i have checked connections nothing loose. i cleaned the tb, no change. i started it and it will rev to aprox 2200 rpms no more and thats it. i disconnected the connector from the throttle body and give it gas, and it still goes to 2200 rpms. what else can i check?

okay, i have replaced the throttle body and the accel pedal and has made no change.i have now notice that if i disconnect the fan clutch when the engine is running there is no change. and i can stop the fan with my hand and spin it in reverse. the only time the fan seems to lock in is when you turn on the air cond, but it still has the reduced power light and rough idle and 2000 rpm max. bad fan clutch? i dont have access to a scan tool or anyway to get the truck to aa shop to pay someone to scan it. we live in the middle of nowhere.

Please help!
Currently having exact codes and problems your daughter was experiencing. Did you find out what the problem was?? I've already spent so much money on this issue and nothing is working. Mechanic wants to put new computer in it but before I spend a ton of money on that I'd appreciate if you could let me know if you ever fix this issue??
