2005 Uplander Passenger window - Wont work
My passenger side window is stuck open, I have tried the switch on the driver and passenger side and neither will move it up or down, I dont even hear it trying to move.
Could this be what they call the window regulator? and if so do i need to replace both driver and passenger side?
Thanks

If you don't even hear it, than the main problem is probably not the regulator, although they do get a little rusty and start to stick. I had the problem where it would go down but not up, in a rush I just ripped the panel off and removed the motor so I could move it by hand.
See my post here in the Venture forum. For me it was the passenger switch. If that thread doesn't solve it, I can pull the diagrams back out and see if there is some more easy tests you can do.

why don't you check for power at the switch, if you have it check at the motor.
if you have power and grd at the motor...try hitting the motor wilth a hammer...if it now works the motor brushes are bad and you need a motor.
even with a bad regulator the motor should make some noise and move slightly.
have a look at the regulator cables....are they bound up.

Switches are the biggest electrical fault and with a wiring diagram you can test the whole system without removing the door panel and vapor barrier, all you need to do is pop out the switches.

you may be correct with regulator.
I agree, test the switch first. \
if the windown is stuck from a bad motor the next step is to remove the panel, hammer on the motor and it probably will move up. this way its drivable until the motor is replaced.
