CF Beginner
I replaced my voltage regulator just last summer, fixed all the light problems up and the voltage was correct as well. I just replaced my battery again after maybe a year???? My voltage is strange though.. 12.7 volts on the highway, and 14.0 on idle??? Had the battery tested, rated at 660,Delco Proffesional, putting out 707 cca?? Ideas?
Thanks
Mike.

Third Brake light
I went in to have my oil change done today and the technician showed me that my third brake light (center) is not working. I thought there would be a warning if it was not working but I guess not. I'm sure its just burnt out but could there be any electrical problems that I am not aware of?

it could be a wiring issue to the third brake light or the led board could be done.an easy way to check it would be remove the light assembly out of the rear hatch and detach the connector .get a test light and with the ignition on have someone apply the brake pedal then check for power at the plug.i almost forgot to say check fuses first.i have a 2005 that has had very little electrical issues like 3.the telltale in the instrument cluster will usally tell you if you have a burnt bulb out.i don,t know if it would tell you if the third brake light is out.

I think i will try the foil wrap on the connector. Maybe some 5 ohm resistors on the akternator sense lines. Or get a new regulator.
I hear gm tried some novel tricks to improve charge system but things went badly.

Neutral Gear selector light stays on
Hey everyone, I have a 05 Uplander that the Neutral light stays on all the time even when put into other gears. Any idea what may cause this?
